I last worked with Nick when I was MD of the Grey London office and he was the CCO of News UK. He was our principal client lead for all creative campaign development.
Nick forged a very strong relationship with the account and productions teams, but most critically an even stronger one with the creative lead for the business - Dave Monk (dep ECD). Dave felt very comfortable and confident in Nick's creative taste and judgement - and in partnership they produced a number of very successful and award-winning campaigns. It was consistently the best work Grey London was doing, which catapulted the profile of the agency at the time. In fact, when Nick left News UK there was a sense of an 'end of an era'.
Nick has great creative instincts. He is highly articulate around the work and on how to make it better, more strategically on point and fresher. He also has a natural curiosity and passion for the craft of the work. I was also lucky enough to work with him at BBH where he was a highly respected business lead based on his creative pedigree - many of the creative directors at BBH requested to work with Nick because his accounts had a good record of getting great work out
